It’s been just over a week since we were dealt the crushing news that Kit Harington is off the market, as he got engaged to his Game Of Thrones co-star Rose Leslie.
The pair, who got together in 2012 after meeting on set, announced the news in The Times newspaper, which read: “Mr K.C. Harington and Miss R.E. Leslie.
“The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire.”
And he’s now spilled the deets about how he popped the question on The Johnathan Ross Show, which he appears on this weekend.
He said: "We did a little announcement in The Times…
"I did have some plans to do it, I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff but we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and I blew my load early."
Hang on. You did WHAT, John hun?
"Sorry that’s a really bad expression,” he continued.
"I was meant to do it the day after with the lights. What I meant to say was, I popped my question a bit early. Not blew my load."
Kit also said that he requested filming schedules for Game Of Thronees be changed for the wedding plans, so everyone on set can attend.
He spoke about phoning a producer, saying: “I rang him up and I said, ‘I’m getting married and it’s your fault actually’... I think for the final season he is so stressed that he’s reached that peaceful level.
"I was like, ‘You need to factor in a Game of Thrones wedding by the way.’ They [the cast] have all got to be there so the whole thing has got to shut down."
