Kourtney Kardashian has been slammed for comparing herself to Disney’s Moana with fans calling her out for cultural appropriation.
The Kardashian clan had already drawn criticism for their getaway to a private Island for Kim’s 40th birthday, with many accusing them of gloating and flouting the international travel ban.
And fans are even less impressed with Kourtney’s recent upload, where she calls herself “Moana of Motunui” as she poses on the white sandy beach.
While plenty of Kourt’s famous influencer friends took to the comments to say how great she looked, others weren’t quite so complimentary.
"Nah pls stop appropriating indigenous island culture/ community. Do better." said one.
Another wrote, "Moana was a POC though,” and one more fumed, “No you are not, you are white!”
