In recent weeks Kris and Caitlyn Jenner have been putting on a very united front – even cosying up for pictures while eating out at an LA restaurant for Kylie’s 18th birthday.
But can it really be that rosy? It turns out that no, it definitely can’t, and in a new trailer for I Am Cait, Kris, 58, and Caitlyn, 65, face off following that incredible Vanity Fair interview.

Caitlyn’s cover interview with the magazine, where she was pictured as a woman for the first time, covered all aspects of her transition, including her relationship with Kris. And it’s fair to say she wasn’t best pleased about some of her Caitlyn’s remarks.
“You're sensitive and amazing to all these new people in your life, you're just not so sensitive and amazing to the family that you left behind,” Kris tells Caitlyn.
Visibly upset, she continues to say: “When you feel like you gave your whole life to somebody and the sum of it all was you were a distraction...”
Caitlyn quickly hits back, saying: “Don't go there,” before adding: “This is not the issue. I was defending myself. It was a distraction from the sense of who I was - that doesn't mean I didn't love you or the kids.
“I tried to do everything I can to be nice, reach out. You have to see it from my perspective - I need an ally when it comes to dealing with the kids.”
Kris was with Kim when she visited Cait and, as you’d expect, Kim threw her two cents into the argument as well.
“I read the Vanity Fair as well, and I think there are some things that you said that you might not realize are hurtful,” Kim explained. “You said Kendall and Kylie Jenner were a distraction, and so when they read that, they're going to think - I don't think they'll quite understand that.”
She added: “Then it said, ‘Had Kris been accepting to who I am, we still would be together.' And that's the most unfair thing in the world to say.”
Kim does have a point. But Caitlyn stood strong and refused to apologise for what she said, later looking into the camera and admitting that the truth “can be upsetting”.
She added: “It was an honest article, and sometimes when you're honest, it can be upsetting to people.”
