During her speech, Caitlyn thanked her family for supporting her while accepting her award.

She broke down in tears while giving an inspirational speech at the prestigious ceremony, which talked about acceptance of transpeople and her fears of hurting those closest to her.

As her daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner wiped away tears, Caitlyn's voice cracked when she said: "The biggest fear in Caitlyn Jenner coming out was I never wanted to hurt anyone else, most of all my family and my kids.

"I'm so, so grateful to have all of you in my life. Thank you," she added.

Caitlyn also paid tribute to other famous transpeople, including her friend Laverne Cox, and personally singled out journalist Diane Sawyer for her help in 'coming out'.

Her stepdaughters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian were in the audience, as were her sons Brody and Brandon.

The only two people from Caitlyn's family who didn't attend were her ex-wife Kris and stepson Rob Kardashian.
