After Kylie Jenner's "Rise and Shine" meme broke the internet last month as well as breaking TikTok viewing records, things seem to have taken a turn for the worse.
It was reported over the weekend that the 22-year-old had sent an Australian woman a cease and desist letter over "Rise and Shine" t-shirts she was selling, even though the woman involved had reportedly been selling them since 2017.
But in a series of defiant tweets, Kylie has shot down those reports, urging her fans not to believe everything they read on the internet.
She wrote, "Guys, please don’t believe everything you read. I have not sent any Rise and Shine cease and desist letters."
"Rise and Shine was an unexpected moment.. I had a lot of fun with it, and I have laughed so hard seeing everyone’s memes since the video came out a few weeks ago."

However, others were still skeptical, despite Kylie's strongly worded tweet.
One user replied to her saying, "So why’d you trademark it?" [in reference to Kylie trademarking the slogan "Rise and Shine"], while another said, "Bro you trademarked a phrase that literally everyone uses."
Hilariously, another follower was keen to change the subject, writing, "Are you dating Drake though?", after rumours emerged the rapper was trying to woo her with gifts.
Sadly, she didn't respond.
