Kylie Jenner has hit out at friend Chris Brown for sharing an online message in which Caitlyn Jenner is referred to as a “science project”.
Singer Chris reposted an Instagram message by Snoop Dogg which was deemed disrespectful to Caitlyn, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, after she revealed herself as a woman to the world on the front cover of Vanity Fair earlier this week.
Chris shared Snoop’s post of a picture of singer Akon, which was captioned: “Shout out to Akon! He is about to supply 600 million Africans with solar power.
“I’m really upset that this isn’t major news but that science project Bruce Jenner is #Society.”
Chris, who is good friends both of Caitlyn's daughters Kylie and Kendall Jenner, deleted the picture soon after fans began to express their shock.
Shortly after, Kylie tweeted: “State what you want about the world without bashing others. Leave a positive impact.”
A number of people reacted in disgust at Snoop Dogg’s original post, with one former fan responding: “Just deleted all your music off my iTunes. You have no respect for trans people so I have no respect for you. What Akon is doing is heroic, but that does not need to be used to denounce Caitlyn’s heroism.
“Coming out on such a huge scale will and has inspired so many LGBTQ people, so f**k you Snoop, that’s not a science project.”
