Words could not describe our excitement when we heard that Blind Date was coming back to our telly screens.

Finally! A dating show that is simple and fun and giving us all of the nostalgic feels.

No more Naked Attraction where we’d need to get our bits out on national telly to find love!

See ya later Date My Mom and all those strange weirdos our mothers think we should end up with!

Goodbye, trusty old Take Me Out

Actually, we’d like to keep the last one please. The others can move swiftly along.

But Blind Date! The show were the likes of Amanda Holden, Nikki Grahame and Mr Bean cropped up in a bid to find true love with the one and only Cilla Black.

The show is said to be an updated version, modernised for us right-swiping millennial daters.

And now rumour has it that none other than Kylie Minogue could be taking the hosting job.

A source told The Sun: “Bosses have been taken aback by the amount of buzz around the series so are rethinking their original ideas.

“They know this is they chance to land an A-lister and Kylie has been discussed because she is so likeable.

“Blind Date has such a huge legacy and Channel 5 has had so much success with Celebrity Big Brother and Lip Sync Battle, it gives them a calling card to attract the best.”

Kylie is probably singing I Should Be So Lucky right now, as the competition for the job is pretty fierce.

So far, Vicky Pattison, Graham Norton and Scarlett Moffat have all been favourites for the post.

Why don’t they ALL do the job, and each week we can have a different hilarious presenter?

We like that idea, so we’re gonna say Channel 5 – do that.
