Can you imagine getting to meet your idol? Well, for one very lucky mum, she got to meet pop star and actress Lady Gaga, at the Critics' Choice Awards and she had a proper fan girl moment!

The lady in question is the mum of American actress Rachel Bloom, and was introduced to the singer by her daughter. After being introduced the pair hugged and Rachel later tweeted the cute moment captioning her video, 'This is a video of my mother hugging Lady Gaga. @etnow #CriticsChoiceAwards'.

As the pair finished their hug, Rachel's mum looks up at the cameras around her, obviously star-stuck. Rachel, who won a Critics' Choice Award in 2016 for her part in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, introduced her mum as a "massive fan," saying, "She only wanted to meet you".

It wasn't long before Rachel's tweet attracted a lot of attention, with her mum's reaction prompting a lot of people to reply. One Twitter user said, 'Your Moms grin at the end of the hug is PRICELESS 😍 she’s the fangirl in all of us. ❤️'. [sic]

Another fan commented, 'Awe!! Love your mom!!! She’s the cutest. ❤️' [sic]

Rachel then followed up her initial tweet tagging in the 'Born This Way' pop star, saying, 'Thank you for being so incredibly gracious'.

Lady Gaga has had an emotional week, after winning a Best Actress Critics' Choice Award for her part in A Star Is Born, she then rushed off to be with her dying horse. The pop star posted a photo of her horse on Twitter, alongside a statement revealing, 'Just after the show I learned that my dear angel of a horse, Arabella, is dying. I am rushing to her now to say goodbye.'

Although we haven't heard any new music from Lady Gaga for a while, she has had an incredible year on the big screen. The pop star starred in the popular film A Star Is Born, alongside Bradley Cooper, which has now been nominated, and won a number of awards, including, a Golden Globe for Best Original Song.
