The teenage children of Lamar Odom have asked for people to continue sending their thoughts and prayers to the basketball player as he remains comatose.

Destiny, 17, and her 13-year-old brother Lamar Jr broke their silence for the first time since their dad was hospitalised on Tuesday and thanked their supporters for their positive vibes.

They said: “Thanks for your outpouring of prayers and support for our dad. We are here with our family and friends.

“We appreciate everyone respecting our privacy at this time. We ask for your continued prayers.”

The pair have been staying with their dad in Sunrise Hospital, Nevada, after Khloe Kardashian flew them in from New York.

Their mum, Liza Morales, who was with Lamar for ten years, also came to visit him.

The rest of the Kardashian klan, including Kim, Kourtney and Kris Jenner, have since left the hospital and flown home to LA, leaving Khloe by her estranged husband’s side.

There have been reports this morning that Lamar managed to ‘squeeze’ someone’s hand – though TMZ claims a source has said he’s shown “absolutely no improvement” since he was admitted to hospital.

Apparently the combination of cocaine and herbal Viagra found in his body is “potentially deadly”, and has led to four of his organs failing.

TMZ reports their sources claim doctors are putting Lamar’s chances of survival at 50-50, although there is a glimmer of hope in that his brain wasn’t starved of oxygen, as he was still breathing when he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel on Tuesday afternoon.
