Lauren Goodger has once again been promoting controversial weight loss methods as she shows off a more slimline figure on Instagram.

The former TOWIE star – who is currently loved up with Katie Price’s ex Charles Drury – took to Instagram in her bra and knickers as she credited celebrity favourite Boom Bod supplements with her winter weight loss.

“ad who’s looking for a holiday snap back? 🙌” she captioned the post.

“@boombod fat metaboliser gummies are the best tasting gummy to support your metabolism 🔥 Grab some at today before they sell out again!"

But not everyone was thrilled about yet another celebrity flogging the pills, with one writing, “Balanced diet and exercise, that's all you need. Surely you don't believe this rubbish works?”

Lauren has previously sparked concern among followers when she opened up about her body dysmorphia and described her body as “disgusting”.

Young Lauren Goodger Aged 24

We first saw her on our screens back in 2010, as an original cast member on The Only Way is Essex...or better known as Towie, with super serious long term boyfriend Mark Wright.

"I've had this surgery done and I'm literally loving my body like I've got no fat here at all,” she said back in 2018.

"But my arms are disgusting, I hate them, my legs are swollen, my ankles are huge and I just hate it."

Speaking of trying the pills for the first time she said, "It's meant to take away your cravings so hopefully it'll stop me eating shit, so let's pray."

Even back then, lots of her followers criticised the star for her method of losing weight, with one person writing: "And your suppose to be a role model to the younger generation I wouldn't want my daughter following you #fake".

“Not a very good role model at all. I dread to think of all the young girls watching this thinking it’s the right thing to do. It’s really not! Please be a bit more responsible,” said another.

And Lauren isn’t the only celebrity who’s been criticised for promoting not-so-wholesome diet methods, with Chloe Ferry and Katie Price also using the product.
