According to reports, the family of Whitney Houston’s daughter say her boyfriend gave her a “toxic cocktail” before leaving her face down in a bath – and they allege it was this that caused the 22-year-old to suffer the brain damage that killed her.
In a lawsuit, the family accuse Nick Gordon of assault, battery, inflicting emotional distress, and transferring money from Bobbi Kristina’s account to his without permission.
The family have added the claims to an original lawsuit filed on June 24 against him.
The amended complaint alleges that around 6am on January 31 Gordon returned after "being out all-night on a cocaine and drinking binge."
They claim the couple then got into a heated argument starting in the living and moving to the upstairs bedroom.
Gordon, 25, allegedly accused Bobbi Kristina of cheating and called her a number of names, the lawsuit alleges. The dispute lasted about 30 minutes and then "everything abruptly became quiet.”
The family's lawsuit claims that Gordon "gave Bobbi Kristina a toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious and then put her face down in a tub of cold water causing her to suffer brain damage."
Nick Gordonhas furiously denied the claims, calling the lawsuit "slanderous and merit-less".
"Nick has engaged civil counsel and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously and expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most."
In a statement, his rep said: "Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it's shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly.
Bobbi Kristina died last month after a six month long battle in hospital after she was found unresponsive in the bath at her home in Atlanta.
