Have Leighton Meester and Adam Brody had their first baby?

Leighton Meester and Adam Brody have welcomed their first child - a baby girl called...Arlo-Day!

Us Weekly first reported that the Gossip Girl star and OC actor had given birth and later TMZ confirmed she was born on 4 August. The couple have a fiercely private relationship – they didn’t even confirm the news of the pregnancy – and have always kept a low profile.

Leighton and Adam met on the set of their 2011 film The Oranges and later married in a top secret ceremony in January 2014.

“Leighton and Adam got married in Northern California by the ocean a couple of weeks ago,” an insider revealed after the wedding. “It was a very small and intimate wedding with close family and friends. It was beautiful.”

Leighton’s previously admitted she was keen to start a family with Adam, saying: “Most people I know are starting to get married. It'll be kids next. I like the grown-up stuff. I like having a house. I've got dogs.

“I started [Gossip Girl] when I was so young. And once it was over, I wanted to do things that were exciting and challenging and more me - more my adult taste.”

Adam felt the same, jokingly saying in an interview that he wanted 12 children.
