If you have a little person in your life, you’ll be all too familiar with Frozen and Demi Lovato’s addictive trac_k Let It Go_. If you don’t have a little person in your life, you’ll have been left wondering just why children/parents/adults who should be too old for Disney, keep sharing videos of themselves, usually in cars, singing ‘Let it goooo!’ over and over again. (Are there actually any other lines?)
And now Jennifer Lee, director of th_e Disney_ movie, says she feels obliged to apologise to parents whose ears are left bleeding by their kids’ obsession with the tune.
“A year ago people would say, ‘Oh we love the songs! We sing them all the time,” Jennifer told The Sun. “Now they’re like, ‘Yep, we’re still listening to those songs.’”
With the Frozen DVD selling more than three million copies and* Let It Go* being the biggest selling album of 2014, we reckon there are plenty of parents looking forward to all those Christmas assemblies with Frozen shoehorned in to keep the primary school masses happy.
Jennifer says: “I’ve gone from saying ‘Thank you’ to ‘Sorry!’”
She really should let it go…
