We all know why The X Factor’s Mason Noise is memorable on this year’s X Factor – and we don’t just mean that mic incident. His name is pretty distinctive for a start.
But that wasn’t enough to jog the memory of grime artist Lethal Bizzle when we caught up with him on the red carpet at the MOBO Awards, held at the Leeds First Direct arena on Wednesday.
Reports this week claim that Mason was once booked to support Lethal and N-Dubz’ Dappy at a gig in Shrewsbury.
But when we asked Lethal about it, he told us: “No way! No. No. I didn’t even know that, oh wow, I’m rooting for him now man, big him up.”
Lethal is also happy that* The X Factor* has more urban artists on the show, adding: “I think it’s important for shows like The X Factor to cover more urban music because I feel like urban music is always in a past culture and one thing now is you can’t ignore culture.
“I think this year there is more urban representation with Reggie ‘n’ Bollie and Mason Noise. I think it’s definitely getting there and as time goes on it’s going to have even more of an impact.”
Let’s just hope Lethal remembers to vote for him…
