Liam Payne has broken his social media silence following the announcement he's split from girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy with a heartfelt video about their baby, Bear Payne.
After Cheryl responded to reports her mum Joan Callaghan played a part in the pair's break-up, Liam's now shared a clip in which he claims fatherhood's made him a 'better man.'
Posting for the first time since the split, the video sees Liam say: "What makes me feel prouder? I’d say right now at the moment more than anything, my son."

Cheryl and Liam take to Twitter to confirm their split. They say: "We are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. It's been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together."
He continues: "Since I had a little boy, a little child, everything changes in life – and I’m more aiming him to be prouder of me. He’s actually already making me a better man, which I think is incredible."
The clip is part of the Adidas #Prouder campaign, for which Liam designed a pair of trainers to support LGBTQ+ youth.

This all comes after Cheryl slammed reports her 'mam' was to blame for the couple's split. Taking to Twitter to respond to rumours, she said: "I hate responding to stuff especially at such difficult times but I cannot sit here and listen to such nasty, false articles regarding my mam.
"I don’t know why they involve her in stories about me.
""I can assure you she has absolutely nothing to do with any of it.
"I am a grown woman who is capable of dealing with my own life."
"She is a soft and kind woman who doesn’t deserve to be dragged into something that has nothing whatsoever to do with her."
