We’re not sure if it’s to celebrate his recent chart success as a solo artist, or because Cheryl’s getting all the attention in the run up to her X Factor comeback, but Liam Payne’s new tattoo is pretty much just a tribute to himself.
In a move we very much intend to copy, Liam’s gone and tattooed his own initials on his hands. He’s put an ‘L’ on his right hand, and a ‘P’ on his left. And we’re totally feeling it, tbh.
While this latest inking isn’t a declaration of his love for Cheryl, fans reckon his new track Bedroom Floor is all about the time she tried to end their romance.
The new song includes lyrics about a potential break-up phone call.
“And every now when my iPhone rings, I be telling you. I told you.
“You said it was over, you said it was over, but your clothes say different on my bedroom floor," he sings.
Liam previously told The Sun, he and written a song about a conversation with Cheryl in the early stages of their relationship.
“There’s one song that is basically a phone call that happened between me and her when she was about to let it go.
“This is a long time ago. And it’s basically me trying to cling on and say, ‘No, no, no it’s all going to work out, don’t worry about it, give it time.”
Things have seemingly worked out very well for the pair, as Cheryl revealed in her first interview about family life.
And Simon Cowell’s taking all the credit for setting Chez and Liam up.
When asked by The Sun if he was responsible for bringing them together , Simon said: “One hundred per cent – just call me Cupid.”
Cheryl then added: “He did nudge. And, honestly, I would never, ever have imagined it could be this.
