It was a big day for Cheryl Tweedy yesterday, the 34-year-old returned to her hometown of Newcastle to open her Cheryl's Trust centre to help disadvantaged people in the region.
After a day of opening the centre and meeting fans, Cheryl took to her Instagram page to thank everybody for their support throughout.
Sharing a photo of herself inside of the centre, Cheryl wrote, 'Youth can do it! 🙌🏼 #Cherylstrust 🌹#Princestrust #Newcastle'. [sic]
Amongst thousands of comments congratulating her, Cheryl's boyfriend Liam Payne wrote a cute message, amid reports the pair's romance is coming to an end.
Liam wrote, 'Very proud of you! How you find the time to do this i'll never know. Over many years you've put all this together and put you heart into such a great cause! I hope one day I can do the same'. [sic]
Cheryl's best friend and former Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts also shared a cute message towards the singer. She wrote, 'sings "that's my girl, that's my girl, that's my girl..." That's a beautiful thing you have been chipping away at and achieved. So proud of you.' [sic]
Liam's message comes after recent rumours that the pair were about to end their romance, following a two-year relationship and the birth of their son Bear Payne.
Despite rumours in the press, Cheryl seemed to shut them down yesterday when she answered a pap's question. As she posed for photos one journalist asked her, "Are you and Liam OK?", to which she replied, "Yeah, great!"
Cheryl also appeared on BBC Breakfast yesterday morning where she was asked if she finds rumours about her personal life in the press 'frustrating'.
Answering the question, she said, "No it doesn't bother me at all, my focus is solely on this. [Cheryl's centre] I've waited seven years to finally be here, and none of that matters. This is the most important part for me."
