Lindsay Lohan has been grabbing headlines lately, for various strange, wonderful and ridiculous reasons.
Firstly, we were absolutely astounded by her very bizarre accent at her club launch, where she talked for a full three minutes about making spas for refugees.
Then she sparked rumours of a Mean Girls 2 (but a proper one this time with the originals, which we would SO be behind), and publically reached out to Tina Fey and Rachel McAdams to try and make it happen.
Sadly for Linds, Rachel stomped all over her plans with this not-so-subtle reply.
Stop trying to make Mean Girls 2, happen, Linds. It’s NOT going to happen.
(Boo.)
But The Parent Trap actress has been getting the world talking this week because she suddenly decided to delete all of her Instagram snaps after reps told fans that she was “in a period of renewal.”
It’s pretty much the 2017 way for stars to make a statement. Remember when Justin Bieber shut down his Instagram? And Kendall Jenner too?
We’re sure everyone would be equally as gutted if we shut ours down, because we’re quite funny. Look.
After deleting all her pics, she updated her bio to ‘Alaikum salam’, meaning ‘and unto you peace’ in Arabic.
Which consequently sent the internet wild with claims that the Mean Girls actress has converted to Islam.
People started digging up pictures of Lohan wearing headscarves and carrying a Quran because that’s OBVIOUSLY one million per cent proof that she’s changed religion.
However, mummy Dina Lohan has been putting the rumours to bed, apparently telling Gossip Cop that it’s simply not true.
A rep for Lindsay also told the site: “She has not converted [to Islam].”
So THERE YOU GO.
