Lionel Ritchie is FED UP with the rumours that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are splitting up, and he’s putting the story straight, too.
“It's completely untrue,” Li’ told the US version of Hello! magazine.
“They've bought a new house and the moving van was pulling up at their old house to move to the new one.
“Hence the story they are breaking up.”
And it seems that Nicole isn’t that fussed with addressing the rumours.
"I went over to the new place recently and there were the Pup-Pups – otherwise known as my grandchildren – running around all excited showing me their new yard and their new pool," Lionel explained.
"[I asked Nicole] aren’t you going to clear [the rumours] up?'… 'Nah, it’s okay,' she said."
Ah, well, that might explain stuff then.
The couple put their £2.3m Hollywood Hills mansion on the market last month. They’ve got two children: Harlow, eight, and Sparrow, seven.
Just don’t put your feet up on the white sofa, Joel, as stern daddy Lionel will most probably HAVE YOU FOR IT.
