Little Mix have been nominated for an MTV EMA award! The Europe Music Awards, which will take place in exactly one month on 3rd November, have just announce their nominees for this year's awards - and Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall are up for Best UK & Ireland Act.
Although they weren't included in the original list of nominees, the Little Mix girls were voted in as a nominee after the Social Wildcard vote, which means that their fans voted them in through the power of social media.
Taking to their social pages, the girls shared a message of thanks to their fans for voting them in, writing, 'This is ALL YOU 😭♥️ we won the social wildcard vote last week and we’re now MTV EMAS nominees! We love the way you mixers go hard for us EVERYTIME 😘 You can vote for us until November 2nd.' [sic]
Fans flocked to the comments section, with many writing 'Congratulations' and others commenting 'You deserve this!', whilst one other wrote, 'I've already voted loads and I won't stop! You deserve it!'
This means that Little Mix are going up against singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi, rapper Dave, singer Mabel and worldwide phenomenon Ed Sheeran in their bid to become the Best UK & Ireland act.
The nominations list was announced earlier this week, and Ariana Grande led the charge with a whopping seven nominations. Shawn Mendes, Lil Nas X and Billie Eilish all had six, J Balvin has five with Lizzo and Taylor Swift both scoring four nominations.
This comes after Jesy Nelson's documentary, Odd One Out, was released last month to huge acclaim - breaking viewing records for the BBC and even having calls to be shown in schools to young people.
