The girls appeared on the ITV show in 2011 and were forced to change their name due to a legal challenge from a charity with the same title.
However, when they were truly little back on The X Factor – and before Rhythmix came into play – they were called Infinite Bass, which apparently has a TOTALLY different meaning, according to Urban Dictionary.
Jesy Nelson told Digital Spy: "It's really frustrating because we changed it three times.
"We were Infinite Bass and they were like, 'You've got to change it'."
Perrie Edwards continued: "The producers asked, 'Have you seen what that means on Urban Dictionary?' and we were like, 'No'."
"It means everlasting orgasm!" Jade Thirlwall explained. "I had shoes made with the name on and everything. I spent good money on them for Judges' Houses."
And as well as Little Mix, Jesy said they also attempted to use Ri-Ta-Mix, so they could keep the ‘Mix’ part.
FYI, we’ve checked Urban Dictionary and no such “orgasm” exists. There is however a marijuana website with the same name, so…
