Little Mix have allegedly been offered the chance to have their own Saturday night TV show on BBC One, which will follow the girls in their own search to find the next big pop band.

And unluckily for Simon Cowell, it's also been reported it's set "to rival the X Factor" as the next big entertainment show.

According to The Sun, Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock are expected to sign on the dotted line within the next week, with the show set to be called Little Mix The Search.

An insider told the publication, “This show is huge for Little Mix but it will be a massive blow for Simon.

“The X Factor’s viewing figures have fallen for years but this could be the nail in the coffin."

This latest news comes following the Shout Out To My Ex band splitting from Simon Cowell's Syco label last year, after the four allegedly sent the music mogul a strongly worded email, detailing issues they had with their contract.

Little Mix's management cut ties with Syco, meaning the band have since moved to RCA, a different record label. However, it is still owned by Syco.

In a statement, a spokesman for Simon confirmed the news, saying, “We do, of course, wish all artists affected by this decision every future success. Consequently, LM5, the forthcoming Little Mix album A&R’d and released on Syco Music, is to be serviced by RCA at the request of Syco and Simon Cowell.
