Today’s Loose Women episode was dedicated to former co-star Lynda Bellingham, who sadly passed away yesterday evening after a long battle with colon cancer.
The 66-year-old actress was remembered by her fellow Loose Women, Ruth Langford, Coleen Nolan, Nadia Sawalha and Jane Moore, while special guests Jane McDonald and Christopher Biggins phoned in to share their memories of the TV personality.
Coleen wiped away tears as Ruth spoke about Lynda’s death last night, saying how she’d wanted just one last Christmas with husband Michael and her two sons before she passed away.
Lynda, who was born in Montreal and adopted at the age of four months, recently published her memoirs There’s Something I’ve Been Dying To Tell You, in which she described how she wanted to stop her chemotherapy treatment and focus on her quality of life.
In her book, she wrote: “I can’t organise the moment of my death. I’m not scared of dying. Dying is much worse for the people left behind.
“If I could have a little moment to say goodbye to them all and the do the old morphine and just go to sleep, that would be fine. I just want to get it over – I’m a very tidy person.”
