Are Louis Smith and Lucy Mecklenburgh planning to have a baby? Gymnast opens up about couple’s future

Things seem to be going pretty well for Louis Smith and Lucy Mecklenburgh – the couple have been dating since late last year and they recently posed for a loved-up selfie in which they held each other in one another’s arms and hoisted their underwear up to show off their bums.

But when he’s not taking romantic snaps of himself with Lucy, Louis is thinking seriously about their future life together.

The Olympic gymnast has been gushing about his former The Only Way Is Essex star lady friend and admits he would one day like to start a family with her.

He told the Daily Express: “Obviously, Lucy is a big part of my life now.

“I don’t know where that’s going to go, but hopefully it will be a situation where I’ve got some little Lucys running around.” Naww!

However, parenthood may not be happening for the pair in the immediate future as Louis recently said he’s in no rush to move their relationship on to the next level.

During an appearance on Loose Women earlier this week the sportsman was quizzed by the panel on whether rumours they’re planning to get married are true.

He replied: “I’m sorry but we’re not. I woke up and had a Google alert saying that we were.”

Singer Jamelia begged him to propose live on air but Louis refused, saying: “I’m sorry to disappoint you Lucy but we’re not getting engaged yet.”

What’s that, Louis? Did you say “YET”? That gives us plenty of time to get the perfect hat for the big wedding then...
