Remember a few years back when a handful of adolescent boys with terrible haircuts auditioned for The X Factor then subsequently became one of the richest and most shaggable boyband EVER?
We're talking about One Direction, BTW, not Union J.
A lot has moved on since then – the show has been through about a 587 judging panels, Dermot O'Leary left, we cried, Dermot came back again, we rejoiced - and this year looks better than ever if ya ask us.
Particularly because one of those formerly adolescent boys Louis Tomlinson's ACTUAL (not actually actual at all) twin is auditioning this Saturday.
And he is a hella fit.
AND HE'S SINGLE.
Corrrrr blimey.
His name's Matt Terry and he's an ex-waiter from Bromley.
When he comes in to audition, he tells the shiny new judging panel (Nicole Scherzinger, Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne) that he's recently suffered heartbreak so had to leave his job.
Literally, AWWW.
We'll be your girlfriend Matt <3.
Simon asks: "Did she dump you?" and he replied: "Yeah".
SMOOTH, SIMON.
Nicole then says: "I really hope you don't suck because I like you so much already."
This panel are just charming, aren't they?
He then does an extremely excellent rendition of Stand By Me, which his mum seems to enjoy so much she starts doing a weird dance with a scared looking Dermot while waiting outside.
We'd have done the same.
We hope Louis' twin will be enough to help the show out with the ratings mare they're apparently having right now.
The amount of people tuning in was so few that the show received its lowest opening ratings in ten years. Wowzers.
It was watched by 6.8million people on its first show, but last year 800,000 more tuned in.
The show caught 34% of the audience share, compared to last year’s 39%. But it premiered to 6.72million people in 2005.
Crikey.
*not actually related to him at all.
