Former One Direction singer Louis Tominson has made his first TV appearance since the tragic death of his 18-year-old sister Félicité Tomlinson back in March, opening up about how he copes with grief.

The interview, which aired on Lorraine this morning, took place five days before Félicité was found dead at her home following a cardiac arrest, with Louis opening about about the tragic loss of his mother back in 2016.

Admitting he thinks people should talk about grief, the 'Two Of Us' singer said, “We can all talk about it a little bit more. I think that’s why I feel good about singing the lyrics because it was a moment for me to speak about it publicly."

He added, "My mum was always obsessed with the idea of me playing piano and they said what about me playing the opening verse on piano. Normally I might have said no but knowing that she liked that idea...again, I kind of just zoned into that idea and just went for it.”

The popular singer, who is a dad to his son Freddie Reign, revealed how his son has helped him with the loss of his mum. He said, "I have said a few times, it’s the responsibility side of things that have made the [grief] process a little bit easier for me. Every time I spend time with Freddie… you feel so much love and it doesn’t matter what’s going on, in that moment that’s all you are thinking about. Those times with him are priceless.

“He is well behaved but he is also a little bit mischievous, but in a harmless way. He is really funny and as he is getting older, I am seeing his personality come through. It’s so exciting."

Félicité - known affectionately by fans as 'Fizzy' - is said to have collapsed after a suspected heart attack at her fourth-floor studio apartment in Earls Court, West London on the afternoon of Wednesday 13th March.

A Met Police spokesperson said, "Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 12.52pm to a residential address in SW5.”

The London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 12.51pm. We sent two ambulance crews, a single responder in a car and an advanced paramedic to the scene. Sadly, despite efforts of our medics, a person died."

Tragically, just days before Félicité's death, Louis released his brand new single 'Two Of Us', which was written about his late mum.

Our thoughts are with Louis and his family at this difficult time. ❤️
