At the weekend it was reported that Louis Walsh had been ‘let go’ from the X Factor after a face-to-face chat with boss Simon Cowell.

But the Irish music manager has now broken his silence over the matter, claiming he wasn’t fired from the show.

But he also wasn’t hired.

Confused?

Louis told the Mail Online: “People keep asking me what's happening with X Factor, but – honestly - I don’t know.

“I definitely haven’t been fired, but I haven’t been hired either, so it’s all up in the air. Either way, there are two empty seats to fill, but that's all I know...

“More importantly, I feel at peace with whatever happens.”

Louis Walsh: Fired nor hired.
Louis Walsh: Fired nor hired.

Either Louis is in denial, or everyone is still very much in the dark over this year’s judging line up.

Previous reports claim that US X Factor judge Demi Lovato may be flown in to fill a seat on the panel, whilst it has also been alleged that Carly Rae Jepsen is also in the running.

Will Louis be returning? One things for sure all eyes will be on the this year’s series to find out (which is probably EXACTLY what Simon had in mind all along!).
