She’s been single since splitting from ex-husband Jamie in 2017 but after a brief fling with hot footballer-turned-actor, Louise Redknapp is now ready to find love again. The mum-of-two enjoyed a few dates with former Arsenal player John Halls and while that didn’t work out, it’s given Louise a new lease of life.
“After the divorce from Jamie, Louise put all her efforts into being a mum to her two sons [Charley, 14, and 10-year-old Beau] and re-launching her music career,” our source says.
“Romance has been the last thing on her mind but over the past few months she’s started to change her mind. She’s been having fun and really enjoyed seeing John, but it wasn’t right. But it gave her the confidence boost that she needed and is now ready to start dating again. It’s been long enough! She has asked friends to set her up with any potential men and is going out a lot more.”
Louise split from Jamie in 2017 after 19 years of marriage and they now share custody of their sons. Although both have remained fairly tight lipped about their break-up, Louise had hinted that Jamie didn’t support her when she wanted to start her career following her success on Strictly Come Dancing.
She met John earlier this year when he auditioned to be in her music video for Stretch. Although he didn’t get the job, they hit it off and stayed in touch through mutual friends. They were seen getting cosy at a private members club in London. However, Louise, 44, didn’t want to pursue things any further as she had concerns about an ex-girlfriend.
“John and Louise were introduced through work and had an instant rapport,” an insider has said. “He seemed pretty keen, and they enjoyed some flirtatious banter over the spring period. During one boozy night out with pals at Soho House they were all over each other, snogging one another’s faces off.
But Louise is quite reserved, and nothing more happened. She wasn’t sure about his status, didn’t want any complications in her life and decided not to pursue anything more serious.”
