A new haircut, a new album, and a new single – Louise Redknapp is very much embracing the “new year, new me” vibe. And after splitting from ex-husband Jamie, 49, in 2017 after 19 years of marriage, we’re told she’s finally ready to give dating another go.
The former Eternal star has started the year full of confidence – throwing herself back into music and getting a choppy new bob – and now all she wants now is someone to share it with.
An insider tells heat, “Louise finally feels as though she’s got her mojo back. She’s got more energy than ever, thanks to her Pilates regime, and she’s gagging to get back onstage again.” Louise’s Greatest Hits album, celebrating 30 years in music, comes out in June, and our source says, “She would love to meet someone as she goes and embarks on a new tour”.
The singer has two sons with ex-husband Jamie – Charley, 18, and Beau, 14 – and while she loves nights at home with her boys, she’s raring to go on more nights out to meet people. “She knows she’s been judged in the past for having a life outside of motherhood and slammed for going out, but she just blocks all the negativity out,” our source says of the 48 year old.
“Louise knows that doing what she loves will make the boys happy too because they will see how much it means to her.”
While Louise’s career is on the up, Jamie has had better luck since the divorce in the romance department. The former footballer got remarried to Swedish model Frida Andersson, 39, in October 2021. A month later, Frida gave birth to their son Raphael. But we’re told Louise “doesn’t have any hard feelings” about Jamie moving on.
Our source explains, “Jamie and Frida have been publicly sharing their loving relationship on social media, so it’s not like Louise can really escape. Her pals had been worried that it might have felt like they were rubbing it in her face, but Louise doesn’t see it like that at all.
“Ultimately, it is all in the past for Louise and now she is looking to the future. She’s even said she’d be happy for Jamie and Frida to come along to a live show at some point.”
