Jay Z FINALLY admits he’s lied to Beyonce in the past

We figured after Lemonade, tbh.

You might remember us telling you about Jay Z's new album, 4:44, which sounds suspiciously like an apology to Beyonce, following those 'Becky with the good hair' cheating allegations in Lemonade.

To be honest, we figured Jay Z had lied somewhere along the line when Solange went for him in a lift (remember that?!), but when we listened to the lyrics in 4:44, it was pretty darn obvious he was making a confession.

He raps:“I apologize, often womanize. Took for my child to be born to see through a woman’s eyes.

“And if my children knew, I don’t even know what I would do/If they ain’t look at me the same, I would probably die with all the shame.”

Hmmm. Can't argue with that really, can ya?

So, when Jay Z released a 'footnotes' video for his song, 4:44, while sitting down for a chat with Chris Rock, Will Smith, Kendrick Lamar and Jesse Williams, his revelations were hardly shocking… let's just say that.

In the video, the group talked about being in the public eye, love, relationships and the difficulties they've faced.

"This is my real life," Jay Z said. "I just ran into this place and we built this big, beautiful mansion of a relationship that wasn't totally built on the 100 percent truth and it starts cracking."

He continued: "Things start happening that the public can see. Then we had to get to a point of ‘OK, tear this down and let's start from the beginning.' It's the hardest thing I've ever done."

Yup, sounds like Jay just admitted that his relationship with Beyonce "wasn't totally built" on truth. We wonder how that went down in the Carter household?

At least now Rumi and Sir are on the scene, things seem to be looking up for the couple.
