So, last week we brought you the news that bookies thought there was more chance of Jess Shears and Dom Lever breaking up by the end of the year than there was of a JOM engagement…and even here at heat hq, we have to admit we weren't holding out much hope.
We mean, if Love Island royalty Nathan Massey and Cara de la Hoyde can't make it then SURELY there's no hope for Jess and Dom?!
So when Jess was spotted with a ring on her engagement finger yesterday, as she arrived at the ITV2 Studios to film Love Island Aftersun, it's safe to say we were raaaather surprised.
On the spin off show, Dom and Jess didn't mention their rumoured engagement, but did have several other relationship progressions to discuss with Caroline Flack.
When she asked the couple their relationship status, Dom answered, “It’s official – we are girlfriend and boyfriend," before joking… "I completed Love Island.”
But that's not all. The couple then shocked the nation by announcing that they would be looking for a flat together in Manchester...to which Flackers was as surprised as the rest of us.
"You're moving in together?!" she asked.
LOL. You know the idea is that you don't complete all your relationship milestones in the space of a week, guys?
We have to agree with Cazza that this is just too soon. Although we do kind of wish we made a bet on a Jess and Dom marriage now… just think of the money we could have won!
