Sad new, romance fans.
The absolutely 100% genuine coupling of Adam Maxted and Katie Salmon from Love Island is NO MORE.
We are devvo. The show only finished on Monday night! Surely they could have kept our dreams alive until Love Island: Heading Home on Sunday.
Pictures have emerged from the Love Island wrap party last night that suggest that not only is the relationship over but that the split was nasty.
All of the other top four couples: Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde, Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland, Kady McDermott and Scott Thomas, were snapped smooching on the red carpet.
Only Katie Salmon was left all alone.
Confirming our suspicions, Adam's tweeted that he's single once more:
But also this, which is actually a rather horrible thing to say from where we're sitting:
Not cool, bro.
And is Adam flirting with Liana Isadora Del Rey here?
Pal, that ship sailed the moment you boasted about f*cking and chucking her. Maybe she'd give you a free ticket to one of her strip shows though.
Adam and Katie were sort of paired-up by default during Love Island.
Katie pied Adam right in the face when she chose Sophie Gradon over him, but Adam swept in when the ladies' coupling ended in disaster.
The other islanders were keen to give the pair some space and granted them a night in the Hideaway together, where Adam failed to make any move on the glamour model other than rubbing her bottom.
He said that he didn't make a sex attempt as he didn't want to ruin his wrestling career. Sure, Adam. Sure.
Katie has so far maintained a dignified silence about the split.
Kady and Scott, however, are rumoured to be entering the Celebrity Big Brother house as a couple this year.
And Cara and Nathan are thought to be heading to TOWIE, although Nathan should expect a very frosty reception following what he said about Megan McKenna.
*Love Island: Heading Home is at 9pm on Sunday 17 July on ITV2. *
