According to the NHS, official symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) include a high temperature and a new continuous cough but, as Love Island’s Rachel Fenton found out, this isn’t always the case.

The orthopaedic clinical nurse specialist, who featured on series two of the show, revealed via her Instagram that she has tested positive for the disease despite not suffering from a temperature or cough. Her only clue was that two of her senses no longer seemed to work; she could not taste or smell.

With many experiencing the same symptoms as Rachel being diagnosed with coronavirus, be sure to consult a doctor if you're concerned.

On her diagnosis, Rachel stated: "I’ve not felt unwell, I’ve felt OK. Not 100 per cent, but not poorly. I’ve felt Ok, still eating and still got an appetite. My symptoms are really mild.

Rachel also explained that the coronavirus test itself is unpleasant. The test consists of swabbing a suspected positive case’s nose and throat. She told followers: "It goes so far up your nose. It makes your eyes water and it’s really far back in your throat."

Gary Lineker’s son George recently revealed how bad his coronavirus symptoms were by drinking an entire glass of vinegar without flinching. He shared the video to his Twitter and Instagram followers after seeing the challenge on social media.

George has apparently been suffering in this way for almost two weeks.
