BUT NOW, in one of the biggest twists of the year, it looks like the pair are BACK ON, with Dani's dad Danny Dyer confirming the wonderful news.
Speaking on the upcoming episode of The Jonathon Ross Show, the EastEnders actor said, “I just want to put something to bed. She hasn’t split up with Jack, that’s all b******s, that is. Jon, they’ve had a row. They’ve had a row, she’s got a bit emotional and I think she has whacked that [message] up and immediately regretted it."
When Jonathan asks, "So we can establish then, Jack and Dani are definitely back together?”
Danny tells him, “They’re sweet as. They’ve had a little argument as we all do, we all have tear ups. Don’t declare nothing to the world, I’ve told her this. That was my bit of fatherly advice. It is okay, it is all sweet."
As if this wasn't enough evidence that the pair are back on, Dani posted a video of her beau to her Instagram Story last night (Monday 10th December).
Fans across the nation were left in shock last Thursday when Dani revealed the pair had 'split' via her Instagram account. She wrote, 'Jack and I have sadly decided to part ways. It's been an incredible six months, and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other, but we've sadly come to the realisation that it's not meant to be long term. We both plan top stay friends. I hope you'll all understand. Love Dani x.' [sic]
The lovely news that the couple are back together comes just hours after the official photos from the Love Island Christmas Special were released.
The show will feature the three remaining couples - Megan Barton-Hanson and Wes Nelson, Adam Collard and Zara McDermott, and Kaz Crossley and Josh Denzel (who couldn't be there unfortunately) - as well as winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham.

Love Island Christmas reunion stacked
Caroline Flack has had a pretty tumultuous six months since the end of the show aired - we can't wait to see what she makes of the drama.
The whole lot of them - minus Josh Denzel - have returned for the show.
Not many fans of the show thought that Zara McDermott and Adam Collard would last - but here they are, one of only three couples remaining from the show six months ago.
Wes Nelson and Megan Barton-Hanson have been one of the most solid couples of the show since it ended in August. They'll be opening up about their relationship on the show.
Samira Mighty, Kendall Rae-Knight, Laura Anderson and Hayley Hughes will all be returning to the show. Samira, Laura and Ellie may have left the villa in relationships, but they'll be opening up about how their love lives have been.
Charlie Brake, Dr. Alex George, Eyal Booker, Sam Bird and Paul Knops may not be in relationships with their villa partners now, but we can't wait to hear what they've been up to since August.
Kaz Crossley is still with her villa boyfriend Josh Denzel - who sadly couldn't be at the filming - but we're looking forward to finding out what's been happening since they all left the villa.
