Love Island's Jonny Mitchell has opened up about life after the dating show, saying he "had it all" over a year ago - before his split from fiancé Danielle Zarb-Cousin.
Opening up in an honest social media post, the former Celebrity Big Brother star uploaded an image of himself outside his house with a racing car he had recently bought.
He captioned the post, "I had it all! Cars, Jets, holidays whenever I fancied. But did it really make me happy?
"This flashy little picture was taken in July last year, and you can tell that I’m really lapping it up 😂. Since then I’ve taken myself on a journey of self discovery. One thing I’ve realised is that you never really know how achieving your goals is going to feel until you actually do it."
He went on to admit that he set himself goals when he was 18, including being 'financially sound' and appearing 'on TV, or [being] famous.'

However, he admitted by the time he had achieved those things, "it wasn’t the overwhelming feeling that I’d completed life. It was a kind of unfulfillment. I’d made getting these superficial things a priority to the point where I probably missed a lot of other important stuff along the way."
Jonny concluded, "What I’m trying to say is that ambition is important, having drive is important, and setting yourself goals is SUPER important. But just make sure you’re setting the RIGHT goals for yourself. Otherwise one day you might be old & checking the last thing off your list only to realise you’ve wasted your life chasing the wrong thing."

Jonny and Danielle split in December, with Danielle announcing they called it quits on Instagram, posting a photo of her in her wedding dress, admitting, "It’s been pretty traumatising for me having to come to terms with everything."
