Last week, Love Island’s Chris Hughes took to Instagram to suggest his relationship with Olivia Attwood was on the rocks after she was spotted canoodling with her ex, footballer Bradley Dack.
A week after leaving the villa, photos of Liv looking cosy with Bradley in Essex’s Faces nightclub were released.
Kem Cetinay has now shed some light on the matter, telling The Sun: “I was the first person they called actually. They were both calling me on separate phones.
“I know how good their relationship is. They're both fiery characters. They’re always going to clash but they'd never do anything to hurt each other, they're so loyal.”
Speaking about the photos of Olivia, he said: “Liv regrets the situation that she stuck herself in it where she didn't do anything wrong and people jumped on the opportunity to make it look differently.
“Chris knows Liv and he’s not dumb and naïve. He knows, he wouldn’t be in something, same with her, if he wasn’t 100 per cent.”
Although both Chris and Liv took to social media to confirm they were still together, Chris later posted a quote on Instagram which suggests they do have things to work on. The quote read: “You can’t just give up on someone because the situation’s not ideal. Great relationships aren’t great because they have no problems.”
He has since deleted this and posted a new tribute to his "freckled princess".
Meanwhile Love Island winner Kem says his own relationship with Amber is “stronger than before”, adding that they now “rely on each other so much, which isn’t a bad thing.”
He has also secured a deal modelling for Boohoo.
