The Love Island contestants don’t exactly need things to heat up even more but it seems producers want them to burst into flames by putting a new bloke in the house.

Former X Factor star Luke White, who competed on the talent show as part of boy band Times Red, is set to enter the programme’s villa.

“Luke is just what Love Island needs,” a source told the Daily Star.

“Not only does he have a chiselled body but he is super charming.

“The girls will be fighting over him in no time - especially if he starts singing.”

But he may not be on Love Island for long - after he and another new man get to choose one of the girls to take out, the public will be in charge of who remains on the show.

Luke and his band competed on The X Factor during the ninth series in 2012 and were chosen as wildcards, but they were eliminated when they were beaten by Christopher Maloney.

They also lost out to fellow band Union J and solo singer James Arthur, who won that year.

Luke comes from a talented family - his sister Lydia Lucy followed in his footsteps and auditioned for The X Factor in 2013 when she made it to the six-chair challenge.

After featuring in a few episodes of The Only Way Is Essex in 2014 when she was linked to Ricky Rayment, she went on to become a finalist on The Voice this year.

Luke will be walking into a pretty tense situation on Love Island after tensions reached breaking point within just a week of the first episode.

On Saturday, Malia Arkian was removed after spending less than one day in the villa following a fight with rival Kady McDermott over a glass of spilled wine.

After Malia’s legs and feet ended up covered in the drink, she thought it was deliberate and said: “If you wanna speak to me, just come in there. You don’t do that with me, not at all.”

As Malia walked away, Kady shouted: “Do you honestly think I’d waste my wine over you? It was a f*cking accident.”

Malia hit back: “Shut up you bitch. Who the f*ck do you think you are?”, before they broke into a fight and Malia was ejected.

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm.
