Love Island was 100% without doubt THE telly event of 2016.

(With the possible exception of both series of Celebrity Big Brother).

While the events inside the villa – Zara Holland losing her crown, Cara de la Hoyde and Nathan Massey giving us the most severe relationship goals of our lives, all that porking etc – seem like a distant hazy summer memory, the show actually only finished about six months ago.

Cara and Nathan joined TOWIE, there's going to be a Love Island baby, and Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen (OF THE ENORMOUS PEEN) got engaged over Christmas.

You may remember that Zara (of the aforementioned crown-losing) got stripped of her Miss Great Britain title after some horrid people took against her having sex with Alex Bowen (of the aforementioned enormous peen) on the telly.

Zara originally hooked up with Alex (before he got with Olivia), so we never expected the two gals to be particularly pally.

Olivia has revealed that there are "no hard feelings" between the two.

Speking to OK Magazine, she said: "We'd only known each other for an hour when it happened, so I can't keep it against him or Zara."

And she said of wedding invitations: "She's welcome! She needs to come to the engagement party, 100 per cent."

(We'd like an invite too plz)

Alex popped the question to Olivia in New York, and she took to Instagram to reveal the news.

She wrote: "I have no words for how happy I am. My fiancé my everything @ab_bowen this was magical. So magical. "

And he in turn posted: "She said yes @oliviadbuck"

That ring is INCRED.
