Everything seemed to be going so well for Love Island 2018 runners up Laura Anderson and Paul Knops, that was until the pair announced their split at the end of September, following a number of explosive rows.
Although Laura has addressed the split claiming it was actually down to 'time issues', Paul has so far remained quiet about the break-up, until NOW!
Paul, who featured in a Britney Spears music video before his time on Love Island, revealed it was actually him who ended the romance, admitting he didn't think the pair were compatible.
Speaking to The Sun Online, Paul said, "It was my decision to split from Laura – I said to her let’s make it a mutual decision so we could both move on and she didn’t get hurt.
"We weren’t compatible for each other. I knew I had to be 100 per cent sure about it because you know – the next person you’re with could potentially be your wife; you don’t want to be unsure about it.
"Of course she was upset; there were tears. Obviously it isn’t nice when someone says they don’t want to be with you."

OUCH! 😱
Laura became a fan favourite on the 2018 series of the show after she had her heart broken a number of times. After coupling up with Wes Nelson, she was left in tears after he dumped her and went after Megan Barton-Hanson instead.
We were all rooting for her when she then coupled up with Jack Fowler - but when he dumped her for Laura Crane, hearts broke all across the country. So when she eventually seemed to click with Paul Knops, we were OVERJOYED.
But it looks like Laura is definitely 100% single now.
