Love Island

The new series of Love Island is imminently returning to our screens and we're so bloody excited we've cancelled all our plans for the foreseeable future so we can watch every single episode without interruption.

Things are kicking off on Monday 5th June but one of the Islanders is already causing a bit of a stir, thanks to his very nawty exploits.

Sam Gowland has enraged his ex-girlfriend Ailish Shaw after publicly admitting to cheating on her without so much as giving her the slightest bit of warning beforehand.

Ailish found out about Sam's infidelity for the first time while reading an interview with the star ahead of his Love Island appearance.

"I've always had a bit of a wandering eye and then I went on a holiday with the lads to Marbella, where I may have been a bit naughty. Well, I definitely was a bit naughty," he revealed.

"I never actually told my girlfriend but it made me realise the spark had gone so when I got home.

"I told her I wasn't up for it any more. She never found out I cheated."

Sounds like a stand-up guy, right?

After working out Sam could only be talking about her, Ailish was understandably fuming.

Taking to Instagram to post a statement, she explained: "I'm not one to air my dirty laundry but it seems that this has been taken out of my hands by my ex who has chosen to go on Love Island.

"Having read The Mirror article, he has decided to nationally speak about how he has a ‘wandering eye’ and has admitted to cheating on me, but never had the dignity to tell me the truth."

She added: "He never needed to speak about me in his interview but I’m not having my name dragged through mud for his air time."
