Calvin Harris escaped a bad car crash last week with minor injuries and now says he feels "lucky and very grateful" for coming away (virtually) unscathed.

The Scottish DJ (aka Adam Wiles) tweeted the message along with an apology to fans:

"Thank you so much for your messages and sorry to any disappointment I caused with the show cancellations ..."

The "We Found Love" star was reluctant to share deets about the incident on 21st May.

A vague statement on his Facebook page read:

"Adam is still recovering from the injuries sustained in the car accident last Friday.

"Unfortunately, as a result he will not be able to perform in Las Vegas at Hakkasan tonight, 5/26 and Omnia tomorrow, 5/27.

"He has asked us to pass on his apologies to everyone who was due to attend the shows and hopes to be back to his normal schedule soon."

We now know the accident involved a VW Beetle smashing into Calvin's Cadillac SUV. He was hospitalised for a cut to the nose – one of the other passengers reportedly suffered a broken pelvis so we get why he checked himself out quick smart.

We presume Calvin called Taylor Swift straight away as she ditched the Billboards to be at his bedside.

A source told Hollywood Life: "Her first reaction was to ask if he needed her to be with him, but Calvin told her everything was okay and he was just a little shaken up.

"Calvin doesn't want a fuss made, but she's not going to give him any choice in that matter.

"She will be catering to him for everything he needs, even if that includes driving him around or making him a cup of tea."

Lap it up Calvin. Tay playing nurse is bound to generate some lyrical gold.
