This year's British Soap Awards, which took place live with Phillip Schofield on Saturday 1st June, brought stars of the nation's biggest soaps together to celebrate EastEnders, Hollyoaks, Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Doctors.

As the soaps' actors donned their best frocks and suits, many were quick to pose on the red carpet, with Hollyoaks couple Nadine Mulkerrin and Rory Douglas-Speed even announcing they are expecting their first child.

But that wasn't the only drama of the night, after Corrie's Lucy Fallon, who plays the role of Bethany Platt, was inundated with messages asking if she was 'pregnant' following her appearance on the red carpet.

Lucy looked stunning in a white gown as she walked the red carpet with her boyfriend Tom, but fans were quick to suggest she had news.

Despite the speculation, Lucy was quick to deny rumours that she's pregnant, hitting back in the best way possible. Taking to her Instagram account, the actress wrote, 'I’d like to confirm… not pregnant just kfc x'. [sic]

So, that's that cleared up!

Meanwhile, despite Coronation Street missing out on the award for Best Soap to Hollyoaks, it was a VERY successful night. Taking home the most awards, Corrie bagged five in total, including the Outstanding Achievement for Sue Nicholls (Audrey Roberts).

The soap were also succesfull in Scene of the Year, Best Single Episode, and Best Storyline for the portrayal of Aidan Connor's suicide.
