In what may be the worst timing ever, Louis Smith was caught up in a sex text scandal last week – just days after going public with new girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh.
The gymnast was accused of sending explicit photos of himself to a mystery woman he met online back in October.
So is it all over between Louis, 25 and 23-year-old Lucy? Nope. Not one bit. In fact, a close friend of the former TOWIE star tells us that the pair are closer than ever and - remarkably – she even thinks the sexting story is funny.
“Louis knew the papers had the story and so he pre-warned Lucy about it,” says her friend. “It wasn’t a big deal, he wasn’t with Lucy when he did it and honestly, she doesn’t care. If anything, Lucy thought it was quite funny!”
