When Lupita Nyong’o hit the red carpet at the Oscars last weekend we collectively ooh-d and aah-d at how incredibly gorge she looked in her fancy pearl dress. When we found out said pearl dress was by Calvin Klein and worth around $150,000 we spat out our pizza. And then ooh-d and aah-d even more.

We have never even TOUCHED anything that is worth $150K (stroking buildings doesn’t count, okay?) so the idea of swanning around an awards ceremony in something that pricey makes us feel faint, Just imagine, then, wearing a custom-made CK gown covered in $150,000 worth of goodies and then having it STOLEN.

Gah.

This is what poor Lupita is dealing with atm, according to reports. It’s making us feel weak just thinking about it.

The expenny dress was allegedly stolen from The London Hotel in West Hollywood on Tuesday night, two days after the Academy Awards. According to TMZ.com the star told police the frock was taken when she was out, between 8pm – 9pm. That is not a lot of time to swipe a heavy pearly number. Yeesh.

In a statement The London Hotel said of the matter, “This is a terribly unfortunate situation, and we are working with law enforcement on their investigation.”

We srsly hope the doorman didn't have a dodgy tummy during 8pm and 9pm…
