Made In Chelsea lothario Spencer Matthews broke some broadcasting rules this morning when he swore on actual live TV.
Appearing on topical cooking show Sunday Brunch, Spencer was helping presenter Tim Lovejoy and Sunday Brunch shed Simon Rimmer cook a lovely, yummy fish dish.
As he prepared the ingredients, poor Spenny grated his fingers. Ouch!
Though latest research claims that swearing actually helps you manage pain, it’s still pretty bad to F-bomb on live breakfast TV when little ones might be watching.
Though you might think that the public outrage was tenfold following the swear-gate (or ‘grate’ should we say?) the producers of the show made an attempt to joke about Spencer’s potty mouth, tweeting: "I feel a tropical episode of #sundaybrunch coming on @SpencerMatthews.”
One Spencer Matthews fan defended his swearing, commenting on Twitter: "If you're offended by someone slightly muttering the phrase "f_n' hell" then please f_ right OFF!!!"
Presenters Tim and Simon rightly enough DID apologise for Spencer’s indiscretion. We wonder if he’ll be invited back any time soon?
