Most life changing trip?
Going to Iguazu Falls on the boarder of Argentina and Brazil when I was a teenager. It was life changing experience because it was the first time I was free of my parents and to this day I don’t think anyone has been as happy as me on that trip. It was a whole new experience that I still think about today.
What’s the most incredible hotel you have ever stayed in and why?
The Mulia Mulia Hotel in Bali. Any Hotel where they have butler outside your room has to be the most incredible hotel. I went there with my girlfriend Ell (model, Heloise Agostinelli) last summer and I would say to anyone that if you want a romantic holiday this is the one.
What three items can you never travel without?
Sun cream, Sunglasses and Rennie (heartburn and indigestion medication). I actually can’t go on holiday without them, they are my must-haves. Especially the Rennie.
What’s the weirdest holiday souvenir you have brought home with you?
A Channel lamp which I still have. It’s not even real vintage Channel but I pretend it is. (er, we think he means Chanel)
What is the biggest travel/holiday disaster you have ever experienced?
The biggest one would have to be missing my flight to South Africa, you can’t really have a bigger disaster than missing a flight - especially as I was going there for a wedding. I actually was late to the airport so I hardly packed, grabbed my things and the first passport I saw. I then traveled to the airport, got to the check in counter and they said “sorry sir you’re not on the flight”, I looked down and realised I had my ex-girlfriends passport instead of mine. Such a nightmare.
Who is your ideal travel buddy?
My ideal travel buddy would have to be Stanley Tucci (the actor from The Lovely Bones). He’s so great and would keep me calm if something went wrong.
What do you always buy in duty free?
Suncream and Rennie's without fail.
What is your memory of your childhood holidays?
So much fun - I remember we used to rent a sailing boat and go round different places in Europe, it was such a great way to explore. It’s the first time I fell in love and I had my first kiss on one of the boats.
What’s the strangest thing you have ever eaten abroad?
I once tried Pigeon Brain in Hong Kong and I can safely tell you that would eat it never again.
If you could go on holiday tomorrow where would you head to?
I'd love to go to Tokyo in Japan, I'm desperate to visit this restaurant there called Jiro more than anything, its a three-Michelin-starred sushi restaurant.
