Love Island's Malin Andersson has returned to Instagram after taking a break following the death of her baby daughter, Consy. The 26-year-old gave birth to her baby girl seven weeks prematurely, and she tragically passed away on 22nd January at the age of just four weeks old.

Posting the devastating news on Instagram two days after she'd passed away, Malin shared a beautiful photo of her daughter with the caption, 'Completely in love with you.. and my Mum just wanted you to be with her. Your time wasn’t ready yet. Mummy loves you.

'I stayed with you each day.. you opened your eyes one last time for me and I saw those beautiful big brown eyes. I’m so sorry I couldn’t do anymore. Go be with grandma Consy. ❤️😞 My angel. Rest in peace CONSY GLORIA EMMA ANDERSSON-KEMP 🙏🏽 23/12/18-22/01/19.' [sic]

Since the above post, Malin has not been seen on Instagram, and chose not to post anything to mark her daughter's funeral on 6th February - although she did post on Twitter the day before to reveal the date, writing, 'So tomorrow’s the day I bury my daughter and lay her to rest free from pain. I love you unconditionally baby girl. None of this makes sense. CONSY-GLORIA 💔🙏🏽.' [sic]

However, she has now returned to Instagram, sharing a selfie on her Instagram Story with a sparkle filter and no caption, poignantly adding a Bitmoji of herself covered in grey fog.

Malin announced the birth of her daughter on New Year's Day, sharing a picture of herself and partner Tom Kemp holding their baby's hands with the caption, 'Happy New Year..Tom and I are so happy to let you all know that our baby girl CONSY arrived in this world 23rd December 2018, seven weeks early.

'She is so beautiful, we are totally in love with her and feel so blessed that she is here but unfortunately due to complications, she is currently being cared for at Great Ormond Street - we have received a number of messages over the past week and there has been a lot of speculation and so we wanted to share our news with you so you could hear from us first hand.

'We are so thankful for the amazing care she is receiving here and promise to update you on her progress but for the time being we hope you can all respect our privacy. We can’t wait to share her with you all soon.'

Our thoughts are with Malin and Tom at this difficult time.
