Marco Pierre White Junior has undoubtedly been the shining star of this year’s Big Brother.
Sure, he had sex on TV, boasted about spending a quarter of a million on drug and alcohol binges and is one of the most entitled people we’ve clapped eyes on but come on, this is Big Brother, not Songs Of Praise.
Sadly, the viewing public decided they hated him rather than loved-to-hate him and he was booted out of the house last Friday.
But while we enjoyed watching Marco’s antics, one person, of course, felt very differently about them. His estranged mother, Mati Conjero.
“I broke down when I saw how lost he is,” Mati said.
“I feel so helpless that I can't do anything, but how would you feel when your beautiful baby boy ends up a man covered in tattoos, with the word 'Broken' across his face?
“It tears me apart to say it, but I feel there's no hope for him. Watching *Big Brother *is like watching my son die before my eyes,” Mati told the Mail Online.
Matt was the third wife of Marco Pierre White with whom she has two sons, Marco and Luciano, neither of whom she is in contact with.
However, as well as speaking of the pain of watching her younger son cavorting on TV, Mati has also sought to justify her son's actions.
“In a way, it's not really his fault that he doesn't know how to behave properly and knows no social boundaries. He has grown up with a sense of entitlement. He is the son of somebody famous and therefore he is well-known and he is rich and can do what he likes.”
Maybe a short stint in the BB house will have brought a sense of reality to Marco Jnr’s life.
We’re not holding our breath, mind.
