Glee star Mark Salling, 35, who recently pleaded guilty to child pornography charges, has been found dead. According to TMZ, the cause of his death was suicide.
The publication reports that the Glee star's body was found today near a league field near his home in Sunland. Mark had been awaiting sentencing after he pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography.
The LAPD were alerted to the discovery of his body at 8.50am this morning, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement to The Blast, a family member said: 'I can confirm that Mark Salling passed away early this morning.'
'Mark was a gentle and loving person, a person of great creativity, who was doing his best to atone for some serious mistakes and errors of judgment. He is survived by his mother and father, and his brother. The Salling family appreciates the support they have been receiving and asks for their privacy to be respected.'
