Marnie Simpson wasted no time in showing she’s happily moving on from the heartbreak caused by her cheating ex Lewis Bloor by snogging Big Brother contestant Kieran Lee during her stay as a VIP housemate on the Channel 5 reality show last week.
And while she said she’s followed him on social media and is ready to slide right on into his DMs as soon as he’s given the boot from (or wins) the show, it seems the Geordie Shore star has another man waiting in the wings in case of emergency.
Marnie has apparently grown close to former X Factor singer Casey Johnson ahead of MTV’s new dating programme Single AF.
Casey, who appeared on the ITV talent contest as part of band Stereo Kicks in 2014 and also had a short stint as a member of band Union J, recently split from girlfriend Betsy-Blue English.
But he’s over any hurt from the end of his relationship and is ready to move on with Marnie, telling The Sun Online: “I fancy Marnie! She’s hot.”
The pair are to spend the coming days together as they promote their MTV show and Casey is hoping producers will pair him with her when they jet off for filming.
He said: “We’re spending tomorrow together for the Single AF Facebook Live and in it we find out who we’re getting paired with when we fly out. I hope I get Marnie!
“She’s up for the craic, I hate girls that are too heavy - I just want someone I can have a laugh with!”
A confident Casey continued: “I think Marnie is so fit. I know she fancies me! We’ve been talking a bit - when we found out we’d been doing the show we started texting and now we’re texting a bit.
“But we haven’t done anything because we wanted to save it. We’ve been talking quite a lot.”
Casey realises the boys Marnie usually goes for are very different to him and he’s not the bad boy that appears to be her normal type.
However, he’s not going to let that stop him, concluding: “I’m trying everything I can to pull her! Trust me, I’ve got this!”
